BOM weather is the Bureau of Meteorology’s nationwide service delivering official forecasts, warnings and real-time observations. For summer 2025, the bureau’s outlook signals above-average temperatures for most of Australia, with the live conditions above showing today’s readings across capital cities.

What data does the Bureau of Meteorology provide?

The BOM issues hourly temperature and wind observations, a four‑day forecast for every town, and a seven‑day outlook for selected centres. Its radar network covers major metropolitan areas, including bom weather radar loops for Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. Marine, fire danger and severe thunderstorm warnings are also part of the daily product set. For mobile users, the official bom weather app gives access to location‑based forecasts and push alerts for watches and warnings.

How can I check BOM conditions for my city?

City‑specific pages – such as bom weather sydney, bom weather melbourne, bom weather brisbane and bom weather perth – show current temperature, humidity, wind speed and pressure. The bom weather map overlays pressure gradients and satellite imagery, while bom weather victoria and other state portals provide localised synoptic charts. You can also view the national weather radar for real-time rainfall tracking and the weather forecast Australia page for seven‑day outlooks.
